Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF), was founded in 2010 to continue fulfilling QF’s vision of unlocking human potential. HBKU is a homegrown research and graduate studies University that acts as a catalyst for positive transformation in Qatar and the region while having a global impact.

The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) was founded as a hub for contemporary Islamic studies, fostering intellectual discourse on Islam within a global framework. Offering ten graduate and postgraduate programs, CIS prepares students for careers in academia, research, as well as cultural, business, and finance sectors through specialized tracks. It also hosts renowned research centers and clusters, facilitating interdisciplinary dialogue and scholarship. CIS integrates academic Islamic principles with modern social sciences, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and scholarship.

The Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) is part of the College of Islamic Studies, which leads the reform and renewal of contemporary Islamic legal and ethical thought and behavior by contributing a sustainable ethical framework for addressing contemporary global challenges.
