 Ibn Khaldon Center for Humanities and Social Sciences is a research center devoted to re-examining the theoretical frameworks of the humanities and social sciences, with a particular focus on issues related to the Arab world. It was established in May 2018.

Generously supported by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at Qatar University, the center is devoted to interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences. Guided by community engagement, the Ibn Khaldon Center seeks to become a free and reliable forum for original intellectual initiatives in the Arab world and beyond

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary
To assist in creating and managing research projects across several research lines for the research center in Law and related fields, participate in ongoing projects, and assist in coordinating the Center’s activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director, coordinators, and research associates as needed in the activities of the Center
  • Provide logistical support for center conferences, workshops, and symposia
  • Participate in ongoing research projects as appropriate
  • Employ innovative tools of interdisciplinary research at Qatar University
  • Enhance academic cooperation within the Center, the University, and the wider research community

Qualifications

  • Education and Certifications

    • MA Degree in Law

    Languages

    • Arabic (required)
    • English (required)

    Experience

    • MA in any field of Law
    • Potential for successful academic research and publications
    • Ability to create and oversee research programs and research agendas
    • Possess excellent social and communication skills, including a good command of Arabic and English
