To create and manage research projects across multiple research lines for the research center in Political Sciences, including thesis production, research methods, and seminars.
Contribute to various committees at the program, center, and university levels.
Contribute to the research profile of the center through research publications.
Contribute to the research profile of the college through peer-reviewed publications.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Center.
Serve as a student advisor.
Teach courses in the area of expertise.

A three-year renewable contract.
Salary is commensurate with experience.

Ibn Khaldon Center for Humanities and Social Sciences is a research center devoted to re-examining the theoretical frameworks of the humanities and social sciences, with a particular focus on issues related to the Arab world. It was established in May 2018.
Generously supported by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at Qatar University, the center is devoted to interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences. Guided by community engagement, the Ibn Khaldon Center seeks to become a free and reliable forum for original intellectual initiatives in the Arab world and beyond.

- Associate Professor rank
- Strong peer-reviewed publication record in a relevant discipline
- Strong knowledge and experience with qualitative research design (collecting, recording, and analyzing data)
- Strong knowledge in preparing research proposals and submitting funding applications
- Teaching experience at the tertiary level
- Service to the profession, including evidence of journal reviewing, grant refereeing, and academic promotion refereeing
- Familiarity with educational technologies used in higher education
- Awareness of working with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
